Dr. Jeffrey Chen is a licensed and double board-certified physician, and combat veteran.

As former Army flight surgeon, he deployed to Iraq during Operation Inherent Resolve where he spearheaded the establishment of a remote aero-medical treatment facility. He also served as a forward physician on MEDEVAC helicopters, earning a campaign star as well as the prestigious Gentex Army Aviation Medicine Award. Additionally he has served on missions in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, amassing over 14 years of service.

Prior to founding Stratos Med Group, Dr. Chen worked at the world-renowned UCLA Health, where he served as an urgent care doctor, primary care provider, and specialist in sports medicine and non-surgical orthopedics. There, he refined the skills that he now brings to Stratos Medical Group, and focuses on a personalized approach to every veteran’s claim.

Dr. Chen brings extensive clinical experience in managing both acute and chronic conditions, combined with an expertise in navigating complex claims processes within both civilian and military systems. This unique blend of knowledge enables him to bring unmatched service and results to the veterans’ fingertips.

He earned his commission through ROTC as a 4-year cadet, and graduated as a Distinguished Military Graduate (DMG), ranking in the top 14% of cadets nationwide.

Dr. Chen is a dedicated family man who enjoys spending time with his wife, their two children, and their German Shepherd Dog. He is also passionate about martial arts, training in FMA, Silat, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and mixed martial arts.
